Alpine Elementary School is calling on community members and proud Alpine Bucks alumni to join in a new effort to share the love of reading with students.
The program, titled Read Alpine, invites volunteers to spend time with students to help inspire a lifelong passion for reading. Organizers say the goal is to connect children with role models from the community who can show them the joy of books and learning.
Those interested in volunteering can reach out to school librarian Mrs. Morrissey by email at smorrissey@alpineisd.net.
“Together, we can inspire a lifelong love of reading,” the school said in its announcement.
