Butch Hancock to Join The Moonshiners at Free Alpine Concert August 29

Legendary Texas singer-songwriter Butch Hancock will perform with The Moonshiners at a free public concert in Alpine on Friday, August 29. The event will be held at The Granada Theatre, located at 207 E Holland Avenue, and is scheduled to run from 7 to 10 p.m.

Hancock, known for his poetic lyrics and role in the iconic Flatlanders trio alongside Joe Ely and Jimmie Dale Gilmore, is set to appear as a featured guest with The Moonshiners, a group known for its rich harmonies and West Texas roots sound.

Local artist Nani Byrd will open the evening with a special guest performance from 5 to 7 p.m. Byrd’s music blends folk, country, and soul influences, and her appearance is expected to set the tone for a celebratory night of music and community.
