New $420,000 Senior Center Planned for Sanderson

A new senior center is set to be built in Terrell County, with construction scheduled to begin this summer, according to state construction records.

The 1,700-square-foot facility will be located at the northwest corner of Downie and 2nd Street in Sanderson. The $420,000 project will be publicly funded and constructed on public land.

Work is expected to be completed by March 6, 2026. The new center will provide a dedicated space for senior programs, activities, and community gatherings in the county seat.
