The Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a public auction of more than 50 properties on Monday, August 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., on the south steps of the Jeff Davis County Courthouse in Fort Davis.
The sale is being held pursuant to tax warrants issued by the 394th District Court in Cause Nos. 25-122-DCCV-00011 and 25-122-DCCV-00014, authorizing the seizure and sale of properties to recover delinquent taxes, penalties, interest, and associated court costs.
Properties listed for sale span a wide range of locations across Jeff Davis County, including a large number of tracts in Green Valley Acres, as well as parcels in the Town of Valentine. Legal descriptions for the properties include lots in Units 1, 3, 5, and 6 of Green Valley Acres, and multiple blocks within the Bell Hill and George Additions in Valentine.
According to the notice, all bidders must present proof of compliance with Section 34.015 of the Texas Property Tax Code, which governs eligibility to purchase property at tax sales.
The listed properties will be auctioned to the highest bidders to satisfy outstanding tax obligations. The sale will proceed unless property owners resolve their debts prior to the auction date.
