Alpine Middle School is launching a new initiative this school year to give students real-world, hands-on experience through career exploration kits as part of its Careers classes.
The kits will expose students to a range of practical skills and potential career paths, from home maintenance fundamentals to cosmetology and barbering to engine repair. The goal is to help students discover new interests and better understand the types of opportunities that may await them after graduation.
“These kits will give our hard-working students the chance to build confidence, learn life skills, and explore a variety of career paths,” school officials said.
The program is part of Alpine ISD’s broader effort to introduce meaningful, skill-based learning experiences at the middle school level.
