A Fort Davis concert tradition is making a comeback this fall. After a 30-year hiatus, the Moon & Tunes Festival will return October 3–4, 2025, bringing live music back to the Davis Mountains.
Originally held from 1993 to 1995, the festival featured a wide variety of musical acts, including Brave Combo, Don Walser, Guy Clark, and the Dixie Chicks (sans Natalie Maines). The original series was organized by local businessman and former county commissioner Todd Jagger, in collaboration with the Fort Davis Chamber of Commerce.
Now, Jagger is helping relaunch the event, which will take place at The High Frontier just southeast of Fort Davis.
The lineup features several well-known performers including Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Mike McClure, William Beckmann, Jeanne Paulette, and Ken Bauchamp. Local musician and chainsaw artist Doug Moreland is also set to perform.
Tickets will be available online through the Fort Davis Chamber of Commerce at fortdavis.com.
