TPWD Hiring Cooks for Black Bear Restaurant at Indian Lodge in Fort Davis

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is hiring three full-time Cook II positions for the Black Bear Restaurant at Indian Lodge in Davis Mountains State Park. The positions offer an hourly wage of $17.45 and are based in Fort Davis, with a 40-hour workweek.

Applications will be accepted through September 3, 2025.

The role involves preparing food to order in a full-service kitchen, maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and assisting with daily kitchen operations. Hires may also assist with housekeeping, maintenance, or groundskeeping. Candidates must have completed at least the 8th grade and have six months of food prep experience in a restaurant setting. A valid driver’s license and Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain one within 30 days) are required.

Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of restaurant experience.
