The Alpine Cowboys celebrated a decade of community spirit with their 10th annual Home Run 5K/10K this past weekend at Kokernot Field.
The 2025 event drew runners and supporters from across the region. Participants were treated to post-race refreshments provided by Brick Vault Brewery and Barbecue, Tall City Brewing Co., and Amigo – Sports Bar & Restaurant. Finisher medals were handcrafted by Pauline Hernandez of Off the Wheel Pottery.
The Alpine Police Department helped ensure runner safety throughout the course. Julie Myers provided event photography, and Cowboys staff and board members volunteered to coordinate the race.
The Alpine Cowboys begin their 2025 season at Kokernot Field on Wednesday, May 28 at 6 p.m., facing the Pecos Bills in their opening game.
