First Look: Indian Lodge Reopens in Fort Davis

Indian Lodge at Davis Mountains State Park is welcoming guests once again, with new photos from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department offering a first look at the historic site’s return.

Although the lodge is now open, a scheduled water system upgrade in mid-May means availability will remain limited until June 1, 2025. Full operations are expected to resume at that time, and reservations for dates beginning in June are now available at tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/reservations.

The lodge’s gift shop is open daily, and the Black Bear Restaurant is serving buffet-style breakfast and lunch Thursday through Monday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a brief closure between meals from 10 to 11 a.m. Menus are posted weekly on social media.

For questions, guests can contact the Indian Lodge front office at (432) 426-3254.
