Following a recent executive order from the White House aimed at eliminating federal funding for NPR and PBS, Marfa Public Radio issued a statement affirming its commitment to West Texas communities.
“It’s still unclear what exactly this will mean for Marfa Public Radio,” the station shared. “We want you to know: nothing in this executive order changes why we exist. We intend to continue being here, providing this free public service for our West Texas communities.”
The station also thanked supporters for their ongoing generosity and encouraged continued donations at marfapublicradio.org/donate.
