A project is currently underway at Sanderson High School to rebuild a key structural feature of its athletic facilities. The football stadium retaining wall is being reconstructed in a renovation effort valued at $65,000.
According to state filings, the project began on December 16, 2024, and is expected to be completed by August 1, 2025—just in time for the start of the new football season.
The scope of the work includes rebuilding 2,000 square feet of retaining wall along the stadium area, improving safety and long-term durability. The project is publicly funded and is classified as a renovation of existing infrastructure on public school grounds.
Construction is taking place at 511A North Wilson Street, the site of Sanderson High School’s campus, in Terrell County.
