The Museum of the Big Bend at Sul Ross State University is hiring an administrative specialist to support museum operations and contribute to its service to the university and the surrounding community.
The full-time position offers an annual salary of $30,000 and remains open until filled. Located on the Alpine campus, the role involves coordinating office and departmental clerical work, maintaining records and schedules, and providing receptionist duties. Responsibilities also include handling confidential information and assisting with departmental needs such as inventory and travel arrangements.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent with business coursework and at least three years of administrative experience or a combination of experience and training. Preferred qualifications include additional college or business school coursework, experience at Sul Ross or in a related role, keyboarding proficiency at 50 words per minute, and familiarity with office software and standard office equipment.
