The Big Bend Conservancy announced that the Big Bend National Park Boundary Adjustment Act has been introduced in Congress, paving the way for a potential 6,100-acre expansion along Terlingua Creek. The land, acquired by the Conservancy, would be added to the national park, enhancing its ecological protection and public access.
The initiative represents years of collaboration and was made possible with support from Sen. John Cornyn, Rep. Tony Gonzales, and Sen. Ben Ray Luján. The proposed expansion would preserve valuable natural resources and increase Big Bend’s physical footprint.
