Jeff Davis County Seeks Chief Deputy Tax Assessor-Collector

Jeff Davis County is accepting applications for the position of Chief Deputy Tax Assessor-Collector. The full-time role offers a negotiable salary with benefits and retirement included.

The Chief Deputy Tax Assessor-Collector will oversee property tax assessment and collection, vehicle registration, and other fee collections in compliance with Texas state laws. The position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the efficient operation of the county’s tax collection processes.

Candidates must have a high school diploma and be bondable, meeting all legal requirements for the position. While experience in tax collection, financial management, or a related field is preferred, it is not required. Applicants should possess strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in financial recordkeeping, and familiarity with office and financial software programs.
