The Valentine Post Office has selected the 2025 customized pictorial postmark, continuing a nearly 35-year tradition of featuring artwork from a Valentine Independent School District student.
This year’s winning design comes from 7th grader Ellie Terrazo, a third-generation Valentine resident, whose artwork showcases a campfire scene, inspired by cherished family memories. The special postmark, stamped by Postmaster Ismelda Ornelas, will adorn thousands of greeting cards sent worldwide from Valentine, Texas.
Those wishing to receive the special postmark can send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Valentine Post Office, where Ornelas hand-cancels between 10,000 and 12,000 Valentine’s Day letters annually.
