The Alpine Police Department has once again secured a High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) grant from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), marking 20 consecutive years of receiving federal support.
City Manager Megan Antrim announced the grant during the January 21 City Council meeting, emphasizing its role in enhancing collaboration with federal agencies and improving border security and law enforcement operations.
