West Texas Regional Chili Cook-Off Returns to Terlingua Ghost Town

The West Texas Regional Chili Cook-Off Championship Weekend is set to spice up the Terlingua Ghost Town from January 24-26, 2025, promising a blend of culinary competition, live music, and local vendors. Hosted by the High Sierra Bar & Grill and the Ghost Town Hotel, this CASI-sanctioned event continues a cherished tradition in the chili capital of Texas.

A Weekend Full of Flavor

Participants and attendees can look forward to a packed schedule of activities:

  • Friday, Jan. 24: Cooks Party following announcements
  • Saturday, Jan. 25: Chili turn-in at 1:00 PM and a steak-off (time TBD)
  • Sunday, Jan. 26: Final chili turn-in at noon

Entry fees range from $25 to $35, with the ultimate prize being the coveted Bronze Warrior Statue. Dry camping will also be available for attendees.
