State Senator César Blanco recently met with the Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD Board of Trustees in Austin to discuss legislative priorities and the unique needs of the district and its community. Superintendent Brent Jaco, Board President Alex Andrea Zamarripa, and Board Secretary Becky Gonzales traveled from West Texas to share their concerns and initiatives with Blanco, who represents the region in the Texas Senate.
Blanco highlighted the importance of collaboration between local education leaders and state representatives, emphasizing his commitment to advocating for solutions that address West Texas’ distinctive challenges.
“I’m honored to represent them and be their advocate in the Texas Senate,” Blanco said, following the meeting.
