Cottonwood General Store Resolves Payment Processing Issue

The Cottonwood General Store has issued an apology and update regarding a payment processing issue that affected card purchases made between October 31 and November 4. The issue stemmed from a malfunction with their card processing company, Vendara, which impacted 900-1,000 transactions.

During this time, card purchases were not properly processed to customers’ accounts or the store’s account. The store acted promptly by photocopying all receipts from those days and submitting them to Vendara for processing. These receipts are now being resolved, which explains why some customers are seeing the transactions on their recent statements.

What Customers Should Do

Cottonwood General Store advises customers to carefully review their statements from October 31 through November 4 and compare them with current charges to ensure no duplicate transactions have occurred.

“We apologize for this incident and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve it. Please continue to monitor your monthly statements, as the timeline for completing the process is uncertain,” the store said in a statement.
