The Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Office has reactivated its Facebook presence after more than two years of inactivity. The agency, which last posted on October 28, 2022, updated its cover and profile photos on January 1, 2025, coinciding with Sheriff Victor Lopez taking over from Bill Kitts.
Today, the department marked National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day with a new post, signaling a potential return to regular updates. Residents are hopeful the sheriff’s office will utilize the platform to keep the community safe and informed, following the example of other departments that leverage social media effectively for public outreach and safety updates.
