Living History Day Returns to Historic Fort Stockton October 18-19, 2025

Historic Fort Stockton will host its annual Living History Day on October 18-19, 2025, inviting visitors to step back in time and experience the rich history of West Texas. Held on the third weekend of October, the event offers a family-friendly blend of education and entertainment, with free admission for all.

The festivities feature re-enactors celebrating the area’s vibrant military history, including army laundress demonstrations, cavalry drills, and cannon firings. Visitors can explore a variety of activities, such as stories from cowboy poets, fiddle music, and interactive experiences with the Texas Camel Corps and Native American tipis.

Additional highlights include a chuck wagon offering a taste of Old West cooking, an 1800s-style baseball game, and the Texas Wildlife Trailer showcasing the region’s natural heritage.
