The Annual Water Carnival, a beloved tradition in Fort Stockton for over 87 years, will take place from July 17 to 19, 2025, at the Comanche Springs Pool, located at 200 West Spring Street. This unique event features local residents as the stars of a synchronized-swimming musical production, showcasing the creativity and talent of the community.
Organized by the Fort Stockton Water Carnival Association, this nonprofit event brings together volunteers, including actors, dancers, set builders, and production crews, to create a spectacular family-friendly show. Each year, the event’s theme is chosen from scripts submitted by the public earlier in the year. The show incorporates music, costumes, and props across various acts, including performances by children, middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults, culminating in a grand finale featuring the entire cast.
The weekend also includes the highly anticipated pageants:
- Thursday, July 17: Tiny Tot and Wee Miss Pageants
- Friday, July 18: Miss Sub Teen and Miss Teen Pageants
- Saturday, July 19: Miss Junior Miss and Miss Fort Stockton Pageants
The Fort Stockton Water Carnival Association welcomes everyone to join in one of the city’s longest-running traditions. For more information about the carnival, including volunteer opportunities or how to participate, visit fswatercarnival.org.
