The Alpine Avalanche announced via Facebook that mail delivery of this week’s edition will be delayed due to the National Day of Mourning and Remembrance for the late President Jimmy Carter on January 9. The U.S. Post Office will suspend normal delivery services that day in observance of the occasion.
While print subscribers can expect their copies to arrive by mail on Friday, the print edition will still be available on schedule in racks and stores. Additionally, the online version of the newspaper will be accessible starting Thursday at 6:00 a.m.
