Lone Star Cowboy Poetry Gathering Returns to Alpine in February 2025

The Lone Star Cowboy Poetry Gathering is set to bring Western culture to life in Alpine from Feb. 20-22, 2025. Known for its celebration of cowboy poetry, Western music, and traditions, the event will feature performances, chuckwagon breakfasts, and cowboy suppers, drawing attendees from across the region and beyond.

Event Highlights
The 2025 schedule includes seven paid shows at Marshall Auditorium, each offering reserved seating. Headlining acts include:

  • Thursday Night – Western Voices: Performances by Joel Nelson, Juni Fisher, Amy Hale, and Kristyn Harris.
  • Friday Night – Out Under the Stars: Featuring Randy Rieman, Brigid and Johnny Reedy, R.P. Smith, and Brenn Hill.
  • Saturday Night – Around the Campfire: Andy Nelson, Skip Gorman, Jake Riley, and R.W. Hampton will take the stage.

Afternoon shows and a full schedule of events are also planned, providing plenty of opportunities for attendees to immerse themselves in the art and storytelling of the West.

In addition to performances, the event will host cowboy suppers at the Alpine Civic Center, catered by Roux Alpine, and chuckwagon breakfasts at Poet’s Grove in Kokernot Park.

Tickets are on sale now, offering preferred seating for all shows. Attendees can also support the event by becoming members for as little as $6 per month, with contributions helping to sustain the Gathering and support its performers.
