Fort Stockton High School’s swim team, the Blue Wave, delivered an outstanding performance at a challenging swim meet in Andrews, Texas, this past weekend. Competing against larger 4A to 6A schools, the team demonstrated significant improvement from the previous year.
Last year, both the girls’ and boys’ teams scored only six points each. However, this year they shattered expectations; the girls scored 75 points while the boys were close behind with 73 points. These scores placed the girls’ team 11th and the boys’ team 13th out of 21 teams.
Coaches Forst and Vazquez expressed their pride in the team’s hard work, dedication, and growth over the past year. The community and school supporters are eagerly looking forward to seeing how the Blue Wave will perform at the upcoming District Swim Meet scheduled for January 18th at noon.
