Big Bend National Park Unveils New Campsites Along Old Maverick Road

Travelers planning an excursion to Big Bend National Park have exciting new camping options to consider. The park has recently introduced additional campsites along Old Maverick Road, enhancing visitor experiences during the busy holiday season.

These new sites, designed to replace previously combined campsites, offer more space and privacy, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the rugged beauty of Big Bend. With the peak visitor times just around the corner, the park advises campers to confirm their reservations early, as spots are expected to fill up quickly.

Reservations for all developed and backcountry campsites, including the new additions along Old Maverick Road, are mandatory and can be made through Rec.com. For those preferring in-person arrangements, reservations are also accepted at visitor centers during business hours.
