Over 60 seniors from Alpine High School, known affectionately as the Fightin’ Buck seniors, have received direct admission acceptances to The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB). Many of these students were also awarded significant four-year scholarships, marking a major milestone in their educational journeys.
The Direct Admissions program is a collaborative effort between Alpine Independent School District and UTPB, designed to simplify the college application and acceptance process for Alpine High School seniors. This initiative aims to broaden access to higher education, ensuring more students can pursue their academic and professional goals.
“We are incredibly proud of our AHS Bucks, some of whom will continue their academic careers as UTPB Falcons,” stated a representative from Alpine ISD. The community and school district celebrate this achievement under the banners of #WeAreAlpine and #OwnOurExcellence, reinforcing a deep-seated pride in their students’ accomplishments.
This successful partnership highlights the commitment of both institutions to support local youth and foster educational opportunities within the community.
