Fort Davis to Welcome New Telemedical Clinic with Texas Tech and Texas A&M Collaboration

Fort Davis residents attended a well-received public meeting this week to learn about the new medical clinic proposed to be located just south of the bunkhouse at the Fort Davis Fire Hall. The clinic, a compact 40′ x 8′ facility, will offer advanced telemedical services and diagnostic testing, staffed by intern physicians from Texas Tech University.

Funding for the clinic’s building, transport, and site preparation has been generously covered by a grant from the Yarborough Foundation of Midland, TX. The FMH Foundation, also based in Midland, will share the ongoing utility costs with the Yarborough Foundation, ensuring sustainable operations.

Jeff Davis County Commissioners have approved the land use for the clinic, with plans to have the building delivered by the end of April 2025 and to commence operations by June 2025. This strategic partnership between major educational institutions and local foundations highlights a significant commitment to improving health services in rural Texas.
