This weekend, the historic Saint Joseph’s Arts & Crafts Fair returns to the Saint Joseph Parish Hall in Fort Davis, TX, promising a showcase of local talent and craftsmanship. Set for November 29 and 30, 2024, the fair will run from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, offering a perfect opportunity for community celebration and holiday shopping.
Now in its third decade, the fair has become a cherished tradition within the community, known for bringing together families and promoting local involvement. This year’s event features over 20 booths, where local artisans will display a variety of handmade items including wreathes, Christmas decorations, jewelry, and paintings.
Visitors can also enjoy traditional West Texas food prepared by familiar local experts, with offerings like brisket, tamales, and chile, complemented by beverages such as tea, coffee, Coke, and possibly apple cider. Part of the proceeds from the fair will go towards supporting the historic Saint Joseph Cemetery and the artisans themselves.
The Arts & Crafts Fair is part of the broader Frontier Christmas celebration in Fort Davis, making this weekend an ideal time to engage with the community and start the holiday season with authentic local flavor and craftsmanship.
