Construction has begun on the new Dollar General store in Terlingua, situated just west of the junction between Highway 118 and FM 170 in Study Butte. The location, previously home to the EMS building, has been cleared to make way for the new development.
According to Sam Karas of the Big Bend Sentinel, crews are actively working on the site, leveling the ground and preparing the area for both the store and its accompanying parking lot. The addition of Dollar General is expected to provide local residents with increased shopping options and convenience.
This development marks a significant change for the area, aiming to enhance the local infrastructure and community accessibility to essential retail services.
