The Fort Davis Historical Society is pleased to announce its Second Annual Art Show & Sale, taking place from March 1 to April 26, 2025, at the Overland Trail Museum, located at 511 Fort St., Fort Davis.
This event will showcase a range of artworks, with each artist allowed up to two entries. All submitted works must be original—no photos or prints are permitted—and must remain in the gallery until the conclusion of the show unless sold. Additionally, works on paper must be properly framed, and if photo references are used, artists must obtain permission from the photographer.
The art show will kick off with an opening reception on March 1, from 5 PM to 7 PM, offering attendees a first look at the diverse artworks while enjoying a convivial atmosphere. All pieces displayed will be for sale, with the Historical Society retaining a 20% commission on sales to support its ongoing efforts to preserve local history.
Artists interested in participating should turn in their artworks by February 26. For further details or any queries, please contact Margie Millsaps, Curator, at 432-940-1530, or Toi Fisher at 432-249-0814. This event promises to be a significant occasion for both artists and art enthusiasts in the Fort Davis community, celebrating local talent and historical heritage.
