Explore Alpine’s Scenic Landscapes with Arthike: Alpine from Above

Art enthusiasts and hikers alike are invited to join the upcoming “Arthike: Alpine from Above” event on Saturday, November 23, at 9:00 a.m. This unique outdoor experience is a collaborative effort between Artwalk Alpine and Sul Ross State University, designed to blend artistic appreciation with physical activity.

The hike will be led by Matt Walter, the esteemed retired curator of the Museum of the Big Bend, who will guide participants on a 1.8-mile moderately strenuous journey. The focus will be on capturing the breathtaking views of Alpine and its surrounding hills and vistas through photography.

Participants are encouraged to bring their cameras and capture the picturesque landscape from various vantage points along the trail. This event is an excellent opportunity for both novice and experienced photographers to find new perspectives and inspiration in the natural beauty of the Big Bend region.

Interested hikers should register in advance at www.sulross.edu/guided-hikes to secure a spot. Don’t miss this chance to see Alpine from above and experience the beauty of West Texas in a new and exciting way. Looking forward to seeing you on the hill!
