Indian Lodge, nestled in the scenic Davis Mountains State Park, is set to welcome guests once again following a comprehensive renovation. The lodge, a beloved fixture in West Texas, is celebrating its reopening with a special event: a concert by the Cielo Trio on Tuesday, October 29th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This marks the first public event at the lodge since renovations began.
The historic lobby of Indian Lodge will serve as the backdrop for the Cielo Trio’s performance, where the group will showcase their classical music talents. The concert promises to provide an enchanting auditory experience, complemented by light refreshments in the lodge’s newly refurbished setting. While there is no entrance fee, seating is limited, and guests are encouraged to register in advance to ensure a spot at this inaugural event.
The renovation of Indian Lodge, which began in early 2023, includes significant updates aimed at enhancing guest comfort and accessibility. Among the improvements are the replacement of windows, the construction of new pergolas, upgrades to guest room doors, and accessibility enhancements to the swimming pool. New paths and accessible parking spaces have also been added, ensuring that all visitors can enjoy the lodge’s amenities.
Funded publicly with an estimated cost of $3,524,000, the renovation underscores a commitment to preserving the lodge’s rustic charm while integrating modern conveniences. Indian Lodge, which features 39 rooms, a swimming pool, and the Black Bear Restaurant, is poised to reaffirm its status as a premier destination in West Texas.
