Fort Davis Independent School District (ISD) has announced a vacancy for the position of Deputy Superintendent’s Secretary. This full-time role is designated for remote work, involving occasional statewide travel and evening board meetings at least once a month.
As of September 29, 2024, the district is looking for a candidate who can handle a variety of clerical and support tasks under the direction of the Deputy Superintendent. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, though a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Required skills include proficiency in multiple computer-based programs, exceptional organizational abilities, and a professional demeanor. Experience in budget and resources management is also necessary, along with availability for specialized professional development and training sessions.
The secretary will perform duties that include greeting and interacting with the public, working cooperatively with staff, parents, and community members, administering employee human resources programs, scheduling district vehicle assignments, and liaising with multiple governmental and private agencies, such as the Texas Education Agency (TEA), Department of Public Safety (DPS), and Higher Education Foundation.
