Cow Dog Food Truck Expands with New Café in Alpine, Offering Breakfast and BBQ Delights

Cow Dog Food Truck, a cherished staple in the Far West Texas food scene, has officially expanded its culinary reach with the opening of Viva Cow Dog & Café. Located at 215 E. Holland Ave., the same site where the beloved food truck parks, the new café addition brings a fresh breakfast and barbecue menu to Alpine residents and visitors.

The grand opening of Viva Cow Dog & Café, held five days ago, saw a joyful turnout from the local community. Guests enjoyed live music from local artists Gil Shackelford and Jeb Spacepilot, as they celebrated the food truck’s new venture. “Quite the Day!!! Thanks, Alpine, for coming out and supporting our efforts to ‘Feed the People’!” the Cow Dog Food Truck team shared on Facebook following the event.

Viva Cow Dog & Café offers a unique breakfast menu available Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The café features specialties such as the Brisket Biscuit, consisting of a house-made buttermilk biscuit, smoked brisket from The Dogg House, house-made peppered red-eye gravy, and a fried egg. Another breakfast favorite is the Avocado Toast topped with a fried egg, providing a refreshing start to the morning.

After breakfast hours, patrons can still enjoy the classic offerings of the Cow Dog Food Truck, serving from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The team also hinted at an upcoming addition to their menu, the Dogg House BBQ, further expanding their repertoire of mouth-watering dishes.

Viva Cow Dog & Café not only promises to continue the tradition of the Cow Dog Food Truck in serving delightful, hearty meals but also adds a new layer of culinary enjoyment for the Big Bend community with its extended menu and café experience. The café operates at the same address as the food truck, making it a convenient spot for both breakfast and lunch.
