Alpine’s Buck Stadium became the center of community support on Thursday, Sept. 26, during the JV football game between Alpine and Andrews. In place of traditional ticket sales, fans were asked to make cash donations to help fund Dig Pink / Pink Out events in October.
All proceeds from the donations will go to Cecilia Vega Torres, an Alpine High School alumna facing medical expenses. The fundraising effort, organized by the All Sports Booster Club, successfully raised $3,750.00 for Torres.
The event exemplified Alpine’s strong community spirit, with local residents coming together to support a familiar face. The All Sports Booster Club’s initiative demonstrated the power of community involvement through local sports.
