Josh Abbott Band to Headline Sul Ross State University Baseball and Softball Fundraiser in Alpine

The Josh Abbott Band is set to perform at Sul Ross State University on Saturday, Nov. 2, in a fundraising event benefiting the university’s baseball and softball teams. The concert will take place at the Pete P. Gallego Center in Alpine, with local band KJ & the 27’s opening the show at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the event are priced at $10 for students and $25 for general admission and can be purchased online at the official Sul Ross athletics website.

Currently touring in support of their latest album, “Somewhere Down the Road,” the Josh Abbott Band will make a special stop in Alpine to support the Lobo Baseball and Softball programs. Known for their energetic live performances, the band has been a fixture in the Texas country music scene since forming at Texas Tech University in 2006. They have since grown into a national act, with several of their albums, including “Small Town Family Dream” and “Front Row Seat,” debuting in the Top 10 on the Billboard country charts.

The “Somewhere Down the Road” album, the band’s seventh studio release, showcases their continued evolution as musicians, blending intricate arrangements with the raw energy of their live shows.
