Balmorhea State Park Campground Reopens with Enhanced Facilities and ADA Accessible Options

Balmorhea State Park, a cherished natural haven, has announced the reopening of its campground featuring significant upgrades and new facilities to enhance visitor experience. The improvements include upgraded water lines, electrical systems, and paved areas, along with a new state-of-the-art restroom facility that is compliant with dark sky regulations.

The park now proudly offers three new ADA accessible RV sites, making its camping facilities more inclusive. “These additions ensure that all visitors, regardless of mobility, can enjoy the tranquil beauty that Balmorhea has to offer,” said a park representative.

While the campground is open for reservations, guests planning a visit between May 6 and May 10 should note that the park’s popular pool will be closed for annual maintenance. Despite this temporary closure, the park will begin accepting a limited selection of online reservations starting May 2. A full and expanded offering of sites will become available on May 11, once the pool reopens.

Visitors can make reservations by calling 512-389-8900 or booking online through the park’s website. The park staff are eager to welcome guests and provide memorable experiences in the natural beauty of Balmorhea.
