The Texas State University System (TSUS) is currently accepting applications for an Auditor/Senior Auditor position within the Office of Internal Audit, with a primary focus on serving Sul Ross State University. The successful applicant will report to the Audit Director – System Administration, who, in turn, reports to the Chief Audit Executive of the TSUS. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related financial discipline, with a minimum of three years of experience in auditing or a related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in another field with four years of relevant experience will be considered. Additionally, possession of relevant professional licensure/certifications such as CPA, CIA, CFE, or CISA is required.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in accounting, information systems, or related disciplines and a minimum of five years of successful auditing experience or related industry experience.
Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the Auditor/Senior Auditor include planning audits, performing fieldwork, appraising internal control systems, identifying risks, and developing recommendations to mitigate risks. This role will also involve engaging in special projects and consulting activities as needed, along with frequent communication with various stakeholders.
Working Conditions: The position entails a normal office environment, with up to 50% travel expected, including overnight stays for training, conferences, and audit activities.
