Far West Jiu-Jitsu Opens in Alpine, Offering Free Saturday Sessions

The community of Alpine has a new spot to learn and practice the art of jiu-jitsu. Far West Jiu-Jitsu, located at 1106 Lechuguilla Lane, has just opened its doors, emphasizing self-improvement and community building through martial arts.

The martial arts school offers classes from Monday to Thursday, tailored to various age groups. Kids’ sessions run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., while the adults can train from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

One of the highlights of Far West Jiu-Jitsu’s offerings is the free open mat sessions every Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. These sessions are open to all, regardless of their level of experience, and participants have the choice of training in the traditional GI (Kimono) or NOGI.
