A new chapter has begun for a beloved ice cream establishment near the Fort Davis National Historic Site. After a brief hiatus, the well-known shop located at 1250 Hwy. 118 is back in business, thanks to 19-year-old Jonathan.
Formerly operating under the name Hebert’s Caboose, the shop saw a temporary closure as previous owners sought a suitable successor. The search ended with Jonathan, who, despite his young age, comes with a wealth of experience. Having been a part of the shop’s team for the past five years, starting when he was just 14, he is no stranger to the ins and outs of the business.
Now rebranded as Jon’s Caboose, the ice cream haven is all set to serve locals and tourists alike, promising the same quality and tradition that it’s been known for. Its prime location, directly across from the Fort Davis National Historic Site, ensures a steady flow of history enthusiasts and families looking for a delightful treat.
For those in the Fort Davis area or planning a visit, be sure to stop by Jon’s Caboose at 1250 Hwy. 118, Fort Davis, TX.
