In a recent incident on Friday morning, October 6, Brewster County Deputies responded to a disturbance call on Terlingua Ranch, North of Study Butte. The situation took a dangerous turn when a suspect brandished a firearm, resulting in a deputy discharging his duty weapon in response.
The deputy’s actions led to the suspect being struck and subsequently transported by ambulance to Alpine, where he received medical attention at Big Bend Regional Medical Center. Following treatment, the suspect was released into the custody of the Sheriff’s Office. Fortunately, no deputies sustained injuries during the incident.
