Thursday, 10/26:
Start the festivities with the Homecoming Parade downtown, followed by a cozy bonfire at the County Park.
Friday, 10/27:
At 6pm, get ready to cheer on the Fort Davis Indians as they clash with the Marfa Shorthorns in a riveting Homecoming Football Game. Dance the night away from 9pm to midnight at the all-ages Homecoming Dance held at the Kelly Pavilion.
Saturday, 10/28:
Join the community at 9am at the County Courthouse for the Chuckwagon Breakfast, complete with cowboy coffee and breakfast tacos served by the Fort Davis FFA.
At 10am, experience history with the Horse Parade & Historical Tour, which takes participants down the original main street and the old Overland Trail. The tour, open to horses, wagons, buggies, pedestrians, and dogs on leashes, will venture through historic sites and the Fort Davis National Historic Site. Parking options are available around the courthouse and Jeff Davis County Park.
Later, from 5pm to 11pm, the Family Barn Dance at Kelly Pavilion promises a night of fun with goat roping, food, drinks, and live music. Entrance is based on a ‘give as you wish’ policy with suggested donations of $20 per person or $50 per family. All proceeds will support the bands. For those who want to ensure they have a seat, concert tickets can be purchased in advance.
Sunday, 10/29:
Details for the Haunted House are still being finalized but cap the evening with Movies on the Lawn at the Courthouse at 8pm.
Tuesday, 10/31:
Halloween enthusiasts can look forward to All Saints Trick or Treat at 6pm at the Methodist Church.
