The Alpine Public Library is nurturing young minds this summer with their Cubelets program, aimed at teaching children between ages 7-12 important concepts ranging from design thinking to engineering, collaboration, mathematics, and more.
Held every Wednesday, the next session is scheduled for August 9 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. This innovative class uses Cubelets, simple robot blocks, as educational tools. Despite their seemingly simple design, these blocks offer opportunities for children to explore complex concepts including abstract modeling, systems thinking, and emergence.
The Cubelets program forms part of the library’s effort to build better thinkers and foster a love for learning among the younger members of the community. Through engaging and interactive experiences, participants are encouraged to stretch their imagination, improve problem-solving skills, and learn to work collaboratively.
