Marfa High School Coach Edgar Ramirez Named Texas Girls Coaches Association Cross-Country Coach of the Year

Coach Edgar Ramirez of Marfa High School’s athletic program was recognized for his outstanding coaching achievements at the Texas Girls Coaches Association Honor Awards Banquet held last night in Arlington, TX. Ramirez was honored with the prestigious title of Cross-Country Coach of the Year in the 1A-4A division.

This recognition comes as a culmination of a remarkable year for Marfa ISD’s Athletic Program, with numerous athletes from the school advancing to state competitions, marking the highest number in the past 17 years. Coach Edgar Ramirez’s dedication and expertise in coaching cross-country have been instrumental in the success of the team.

The Texas Girls Coaches Association’s Cross-Country Coach of the Year award acknowledges Ramirez’s exceptional leadership and his positive impact on the athletes under his guidance.
