Manuel V. Baeza Re-elected as Mayor of Marfa, Raul Lara and Travis Acreman Secure City Council Seats

The City of Marfa held its general election on May 6, 2023, with the focus on the mayoral race and city council seats. The unofficial results are in, and Marfa residents have chosen their representatives for the coming term.

In a successful re-election campaign, Manuel V. Baeza secured another term as the mayor of Marfa. As the incumbent mayor, Baeza received widespread support from the community, solidifying his position as the city’s leader.

The city council election saw intense competition, with residents closely following the candidates vying for seats. Incumbent Raul Lara emerged as the top vote-getter, garnering significant support from voters. Lara’s dedication to serving the community earned him a seat on the city council.

Travis Acreman also earned a place on the city council, as his campaign resonated with the electorate, securing a substantial number of votes.

Additionally, Mark Morrison ran unopposed for a city council seat and will automatically assume the position.
