The Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center & Botanical Gardens is excited to announce the upcoming CDRI BBQ & Auction, which is scheduled for August 12th, 2023. The event promises to be a great time, featuring live music, a silent auction, a live auction, and a delicious BBQ dinner catered by Sanchez BBQ of Fort Davis.
Tickets for the event went on sale today, May 1st, and can be picked up at the will-call table in front of the Powell Visitor Center on the afternoon of the event. Gates will open at 3:45 p.m., with the silent auction kicking off at 4:00 p.m. The live auction will follow at 5:00 p.m., with the BBQ dinner being served at 6:00 p.m.
Martin Stringer, a renowned auctioneer, will be conducting the live auction, adding to the excitement of the event. The CDRI BBQ & Auction promises to be a great opportunity for the community to come together and support the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center & Botanical Gardens.
The center is grateful for the community’s support of their mission, which is to educate and inspire people of all ages about the natural and cultural history of the Chihuahuan Desert region. The event is a great way to raise funds to support the center’s continued growth and development.
