Video: Live the El Cosmico life in Marfa, TX

Iconic Marfa, Texas retreat El Cosmico is expanding with a 60+ acre community development project featuring innovative architecture and hospitality amenities. The development is a collaboration between El Cosmico founder Liz Lambert, the 3D-printing construction technology firm ICON, and architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG).

The development will showcase entirely new architectural approaches made possible by large-scale 3D-printing technology, including domes, arches, vaults, and parabolic forms. The project will also feature new hospitality programming, including a pool, spa, and shared communal facilities, alongside the existing El Cosmico guest units.

The development will feature BIG-designed Sunday Homes, with two, three, and four bedrooms, ranging from 1,200 sq. ft. to 2,200 sq. ft., and boasting expansive views of the Davis Mountains.

The 3D-printing technology used in the project will allow for faster and more efficient construction, as well as reduced waste and carbon emissions.

Breaking ground in 2024, El Cosmico’s expansion will celebrate the convergence of creative culture and the minimalist natural environment of the Marfa landscape.
