Sul Ross State University in Alpine is providing a Summer Housing Scholarship for new students, including new freshmen and transfers, for the 2023 summer terms. The scholarship provides financial assistance for students who wish to live on campus during the summer and covers the cost of housing in the residence halls. However, students are required to bear the cost of their meal plan.
To be eligible, new freshmen must complete a scholarship application and a Residential Living application, enroll in six semester credit hours for the summer term, and be approved to live on campus. Similarly, new transfer students must have a 2.0 GPA and meet satisfactory academic progress, complete the scholarship and Residential Living applications, and enroll in six semester credit hours for the summer term.
The scholarship is applicable for both terms as long as students are enrolled in six semester credit hours per term. However, dual credit students are not eligible for the scholarship. To apply for the scholarship, visit https://www.sulross.edu/financial-aid/scholarships/, and for Residential Living, visit https://www.sulross.edu/residential-living/application-for-housing/.
