A vehicle carrying three people rolled over early Sunday after striking a javelina on U.S. 67 south of Marfa, according to the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened about 2 a.m. roughly 15 miles south of Marfa. Authorities said the vehicle was traveling from New Mexico when a javelina entered the roadway, causing the collision and rollover.
No life-threatening injuries were reported. One person was taken for medical evaluation for a possible broken arm.
The Presidio County Sheriff’s Office, Marfa EMS, Marfa Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and Fort Davis EMS responded to the crash.
Authorities urged motorists to use caution on U.S. 67, particularly overnight and during the early morning hours when wildlife can unexpectedly enter the roadway.
